Things you might like to know:
What is play therapy?
Play therapy gives children the opportunity to process emotions and life events in a way that honors the child’s developmental stage. Learn more specifics here!
Do you provide virtual therapy?
Yes! For individuals 8 and up, I can provide virtual therapy in the state of Colorado.
What are your rates? Do you take insurance?
My out of pocket rate is $140 per 60-minute individual session. I am a Lyra Network provider and I also accept insurance. I have partnered with Alma to be able to take Cigna, United/Optum, Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health and more. Check your eligibility here. I have partnered with Westside Behavioral Care to take Kaiser. For all other insurance companies, I am happy to provide a Superbill (a fancy receipt) with the relevant information for clients to submit to their insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
*Please note that since I am not a Medicaid provider, I am unable to work with anyone who is a Medicaid recipient.
We need after school appointments. Are those available?
I understand the desire for after-school appointments - it certainly is the most convenient! However, due to the demand for after-school appointments, I rarely have openings at or after 2pm. When and if an after-school appointment time opens up, I typically offer those to clients who are already established in my practice.
We are going through a separation/divorce. Can one parent consent to treatment?
In divorce or custody situations and because of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) view on parental consent, it is my policy to seek the consent of both parents/legal guardians. For this reason, it is also my policy to require that a parenting plan or divorce decree is on file for all children 14 and under whose parents are divorced. Please note that giving consent for treatment does not supersede any court order outlining parental decision-making and custodial rights.
